How to Capitalize on Last Minute Holiday Shoppers

Holiday traffic is something that you cannot just sit back and let pass you by. As a matter of a fact, this is a big time for a lot of internet marketers. Most internet marketers will plan their holiday strategies months in advance, and I cannot say that I blame them. This is a great time of the year to make some cash, so you have to make sure you are not completely left out of the loop. Therefore, I am going to give you some advice on how to get some of those last minute holiday shoppers.

Firstly, you should highly consider sprucing up your website’s meta description. Granted, this really does not have any significant value when search engine optimization is concerned anymore, but it is prime real estate when it comes to promotion. Edit your meta description to give information about any last minute opportunities you are offering on your website. For instance, when someone goes to a search engine and they see your result boasting a 20% off promotion, or that you are offering free shipping during the holidays, it may swing them into your direction.

Second of all, you should highly consider taking advantage of social media websites. For instance, consider adding social media share buttons to your thank you and order confirmation pages. You can either give a predefined message, or you can give your visitors the ability to type in their own information. Either way, it’s up to you, but I highly suggest that you do it. Second of all, consider sending out e-greeting, or a video to all of your social networking fans and followers. I am sure they will appreciate the kind gesture.
