Once you have your perfect product structure and pricing, it’s time to let your customers know what you’re offering. Sounds easy enough, right? But it can get a bit complicated. It’s all in how you present your business and your products. If you’re using the old-fashioned “snake oil” advertising from years ago, you’re on the wrong path. Your customers don’t want to hear how your product is a do-all and cure-all for anything that ails or urks them. They want to hear how your products can solve a real-life problem, and they want it in terms they can understand. They really WANT to believe you, but if your copywriting isn’t believable, they’ll take that internet stroll to your competitor’s website.
There are four basics in selling anything:
- This is who I am.
- This is what I have.
- This why you need it.
- This is how you can get it now.
That third one is the most important. Whether you are an amateur or a professional copywriter, you have to be believable in telling your potential customer how your product fills a need and solves a problem. You cannot simply say “It will” and let them take you at your word. You have to tell them HOW it will. “This will solve your problem because it can do…..” and fully explain what your product can do.
Once you get through that third point, the fourth one becomes paramount. It’s important that you give your customers several options in getting instant gratification. Your copywriting gets them to this point, so take advantage of it and close the deal. Instant downloads of purchased info products is a great way to increase profits. A guarantee of a short delivery time on physical products is also a plus. But whatever you do, it is important to uphold the terms you put in your copywriting.
