As 2012 begins to come to a close, social networks have been rolling out some major changes to the features they have to offer, and making some improvements as well. The most recent changes is coming courtesy of Google+, as they will be integrating Google+ with gmail users. We all knew it was only going to be a matter of time before these two entities merged into one.
Coming soon to your Gmail inbox, you will see a widget that will display the most recent Google+ updates for the contact that you are sending the email to. From the widget, you will be able to add that contact to your circle in Google+, without even having to leave your Gmail page.
Also, if you are bad about keeping your contact information up-to-date in your address book, fear no more! Since Gmail and Google+ are going to be integrated with each other, it will automatically update contact information for you, based on the contact latest updates on their Google profile.
One new feature that is also going to be added in the merge is the ability to share attached images in emails to your Google+ page without ever leaving Gmail. This is a great step in the right direction for Google, because they are going to be combining email with a social networking website. Undoubtedly, this move is going to be scaring the folks over at FaceBook, since they are currently the biggest social networking site on the planet. However, if they want to remain number one, Google is definitely going to be making them work for it.
